New cleanroom - Zephyr Building, Harwell Campus
Clean Room Construction (CRC) designed and constructed a static dissipative cleanroom at the UK Space Cluster in Harwell for Oxford Space Systems - an award-winning space technology business.
The ISO Class 7 cleanroom in the Zephyr Building measures 20m x 15m x 8m (height) and will be used for the development of a new generation of deployable antennas and structures for the global satellite industry.
The walls and ceiling conceal a specialist crane and steelwork, with only the suspended beams visible.
The standalone air ventilation system closely controls conditions and provides a stable environment for the precise assembly and testing carried out within the cleanroom.
CRC worked closely with the Principal Contractor, Total Projects, and Oxford Space Systems to deliver the project on time.
Contract Value: Circa £600,000
