EnteroBiotix appointed Clean Room Construction (CRC) the main contractor on a full turnkey basis to design, fit-out, and validate a new purpose-built world-class facility at Strathclyde Business Park for manufacturing and quality control of its high-diversity microbial therapeutics.

The 425m2 facility is believed to be the most advanced of its kind in Europe and has been designed to align with key regulatory requirements for advanced biologics production and analytical activities.

EnteroBiotix is a leading clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company, focussed on transforming the standard of care for patients battling debilitating diseases and infections linked to disruptions to the structure and function of the gut microbiome.

The scope included handling all civil work to modify the chosen industrial unit and increasing the available power to support the operational requirements. The internal fit-out included all mechanical and electrical services, HVAC systems and controls, process gases, environmental monitoring systems and extraction for specialist equipment to provide two cleanrooms, a laboratory and office spaces with welfare facilities.

EnteroBiotix also contracted CRC to carry out modifications to the materials receipt area and to revalidate the facility, ensuring continued compliance with the previously granted MHRA licence for the facility.
