Nanoscience Centre - Cambridge

The Nanoscience Centre on the University of Cambridge's science and technology campus is a prestigious 1,800m2 research facility providing open access to over 300 researchers.

The cleanroom facility was designed for the fabrication of nanometre scale devices and structures, and laboratory space was created for characterisation of the devices. Air in the cleanroom is forced through fine filters in the ceiling of the building and recirculated along with a percentage of fresh air. The filtered air in the cleanroom prevents contamination of the devices by the atmospheric dust.

Clean Room Construction was responsible on a design and build basis for the cleanroom facility and laboratories, as well as the M&E services. The facilities included ISO Class 4, 5 and 6 classification areas.
