Pharmacy and tablet manufacturing facility - central London
Clean Room Construction created a modern aseptic manufacturing and dispensing facility within a busy central London hospital as part of a £2 million project at University College Hospital London.
The aim of the project was to bring all the pharmacy manufacturing and quality control facilities onto one site and create a modern facility within a working Victorian hospital building.
Space in the occupied hospital was at a premium for the project. An old basement canteen was identified for the new tablet manufacturing unit and the 4th floor of the building was earmarked for the aseptic and repack units. CRC also had to accommodate internal pillars, two stairwells and lift shafts in the design.
Client: "The professional approach adopted by Clean Room Construction for this complex design and build project has led to the production of an impressive facility."
Contract Value: Circa £2 million
