Aseptic pharmacy - Cambridge

Clean Room Construction designed and built an aseptic pharmacy and high risk research area for Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge.

Addenbrooke's Hospital, which is run by Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, provides emergency, surgical and medical services for people in the Cambridge area as well as being a centre of medical excellence for regional specialist services. It is also an internationally known university teaching hospital.

The project covered an area of 330sq.m and involved full mechanical, electrical and HVAC services. It incorporated the customer's isolators, SB05 Plasteurop partitioning, own door interlocking systems, hygienic intercom stations, cold room, heat recovery air handling units, the installation of heat pumps to provide heating and cooling and a BMS controls system for HVAC.

A validated environmental monitoring system was also installed to monitor the cleanroom temperatures, pressures and particulate cleanliness for rooms and isolators.
